Quitting a job is a part of your career path. A job change lets you grow and find out new opportunities in store for you. Changing jobs earlier meant you cannot get along with colleagues or simply that you are disloyal or cannot commit. But with increasing number of millennials at work place, the scenario is changing and changing jobs today means eagerness to learn, develop and enhance your careers.

This does not imply that you should become a jumping ship after every few months.  But, after two years of stability at one place, you should be looking out for a change.

Your contacts can be a jump-start to your job search in the future. You might not need them immediately but in future you never know who could help you get a job. Your network would either look out for you when you are in need or help you get through a company you want to get in through their networks.

#2 Get a Relieving Letter

A relieving letter from the organization is an important document that states your formal leaving date stating your years of experience and some other formal details for your job. It plays an important role when you are joining another firm.

#3 Get a Reference Letter

An important document that gives future employers a way to learn insights about the background and capabilities of a candidate. A well-written letter helps the potential employer to gain information that they would get through the HR of a company. For a great letter in hand, ask the concerned writer at least a month before you actually need it.

#4 An Acceptance of Resignation Letter

When you are quitting a job, the first official document of intimation is a resignation letter. To complete all the formalities and finally having all the required documents in hand, it might take time. In such a case, your next employer would require to have a proof of your exit.
