Having no work experience does not mean you are unqualified the hours you have spent in Photoshop or editing
social media videos can be listed. Even if you have no work experience, these
experiences still make you eligible for the position.
EMBRACE YOUR REALITY
If you’re applying for entry-level positions, most people aren't expecting you to come in with a resume filled with experience. Instead, embrace your inexperience and leverage it as motivation to learn. Highlight examples of your dedication, curiosity, and commitment to learning and growth. People who are hiring are looking for people who are willing to work hard and want to learn.
KNOW YOUR OWN WORTH
You
might not have years of work experience, but what else in your background can
demonstrate your worth to an employer? Experience doesn't have to just come
from traditional jobs; market any skills you've developed in other areas of
your life.
EMPHASIZE "SOFT SKILLS"
What will make you stand out from the rest? Remember to showcase qualities like friendliness, professionalism, responsiveness, and follow-through. Strong soft skills can go a long way, because they can’t really be taught
Remember
that experience isn't the only thing prospective employers are looking for.
They also want to find the right person for their organization. Many
companies are far more concerned with personality and cultural fit. Plus, with
less experience, you don't bring a lot of baggage with you (like unwanted
behaviours and techniques learned elsewhere). You're a clean slate (at least in
this field). Use that to your advantage.
Give it time. A successful career
transition takes time so don't get impatient. If it's a move you believe in,
it's worth it. You can always start slow, right where you are. See if there's a
way to hone new skills in your current position that would directly apply to
your new career path. Even one small step in the right direction can make a big
impact. Stay motivated and focused on the end goal. And most importantly, don't
give up.
